【1】Promote seed germination

Gibberellic acid

Seed soaking with gibberellic acid can significantly improve the germination rate of Rhododendron dewdrops seeds, among which 250 mg/L gibberellic acid soaking seeds has the best effect on promoting germination.It can significantly enhance the superoxide dismutase and peroxidase activities of seeds, and significantly reduce the soluble protein and malondialdehyde content of seeds.

【2】Promote rooting of cuttings

Gibberellic acid

50 mg/L gibberellic acid treatment not only has a high rooting rate, but also the above-ground parts of cuttings grow well, and the transplanting survival rate is high, which can be used for large-scale seedling breeding of Rhododendron staghorne.

IBA and NAA

Both naphthalene acetic acid and indole butyric acid could promote the better growth of Rhododendron hydroponic cuttings. Treatment with 80 mg/L indole butyric acid and 80 mg/L naphthalene acetic acid had the best effect on promoting root number and root length.

【3】Promote growth

Gibberellic acid

During the stem elongation of Rhododendron, spray several times with 100 mg/L gibberellic acid solution on the leaves, which can promote the photosynthesis of Rhododendron leaves and accelerate the growth of Rhododendron.

【4】Adjust plant type

Paclobutrazol

Treatment with 900 mg/L paclobutrazol has the most ideal effect on controlling plant height, adjusting plant type and regulating flowering period. It can make the plant type relatively compact, the flowers are concentrated, the photosynthesis of the plant can be improved, the senescence of leaves and petals can be delayed, and the flowering period can be prolonged. And improve the quality of flowers to lay a good material foundation.

【5】Adjust the flowering period

Gibberellic acid

Gibberellic acid can promote the early flowering of Rhododendron, and the dosage of different varieties is different. During the flower bud germination stage, spraying 200-400 mg/L gibberellic acid to the leaves can promote the early flowering of Rhododendron dewdrop;The middle-flowering cultivar “Wubaozhu” can be treated with 1500-2000 mg/L gibberellic acid for early flowering, and the early flowering of the late-flowering cultivar “Red Pomegranate” can be treated with 1500 mg/L gibberellic acid three times.

Paclobutrazol

Paclobutrazol can delay the flowering of Rhododendron. Early-flowering and middle-flowering varieties can be treated with 1000-1500 mg/L paclobutrazol for the whole plant spraying; late-flowering varieties can be treated with 1500 mg/L paclobutrazol for delaying flowering.
