The original drug is a white needle-like crystal, odorless and tasteless, with a melting point of 154-156 °C. The industrial product is an orange-yellow powder with a slightly irritating iodine odor. ①P-iodophenoxyacetic acid (sodium) can be used by spraying, spot coating or seed soaking. When preparing the liquid, first dissolve the original medicinal alcohol or hot water to form a mother liquor, and then dilute it with cold water to the specified concentration before use.
②In the flowering period, spraying should be carried out in the afternoon, so as not to affect pollination by spraying the liquid on the stamens. If it rains within 6 hours after spraying, it is necessary to re-spray.
③ If the soaking time exceeds 12h, the concentration should be appropriately reduced.
